Hope and Justice Singalong follows up on Palm Sunday Path
First Congregational United Church of Christ will host the Hope and Justice Singalong on Sunday, Oct. 18.
Through music, poetry, reflection, and fellowship, the event will celebrate community, renew hope, and lift up community values. In addition to a singalong, Karma’s Mailbox will be performing. Chili, egg rolls, and baked goods will be for sale with proceeds going to ESTHER.
The singalong is a follow-up to last spring’s Palm Sunday Path, when nearly 500 clergy and members of diverse faith communities gathered at Houdini Plaza for a rally to support strengthening democracy, resist authoritarianism, and live out shared values of compassion and dignity for all people. The Wisconsin Council of Churches endorsed the rally, and partners across Wisconsin supported it.
The Hope and Justice Singalong will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 724 E. South River in Appleton. People of all faiths or of no faith are welcome. This is a non-partisan get-out-the-vote event.
