Heartland Signal links AD 53 candidate David Daniels' email addresses to adult dating sites
Republican vying for critical Assembly seat denies ever using AdultFriendFinder or Fling.com
The Heartland Signal recently reported on several suspicious email accounts linked to AD 53 Republican candidate David Daniels that would seem to tie him to adult dating sites in 2016.
The accounts came to light following the release of files from a cybersecurity breach.
Reporter Richard Eberwein writes that the same e-mail addresses Daniels used to set up the website for his business and for a newsletter for an organization he belonged to also appeared on such sites as AdultFriendFinder and Fling.com.
Both are adult-oriented social networks and online dating sites explicitly designed for casual hookups, casual encounters, swinging, and ‘kink’ exploration.
Daniels, who adamantly denied creating the accounts on the two sites, is listed as a dedicated family man on his campaign page.
He is running against Democrat Becky Nichols to fill the assembly seat of Dean Kaufert in the Menasha-Neenah area. It is one of the top targeted seats as Democrats fight to gain control of the State Assembly for the first time in 16 years.
Additionally, according to the Heartland Signal’s story, the same passwords show up on both Daniels’ MySpace accounts and other mainstream platforms and the two dating sites. The name ‘lucy’ is embedded in those passwords. Daniels’ wife’s name is Lucy. They have been married for 38 years.
The same cybersecurity breach also exposed Republican State Representative Patrick Snyder’s own AdultFriendFinder and Ashley Madison (an adult dating site for married men) accounts. Snyder, who has been married 40 years, admitted to setting up the accounts and called them “a foolish mistake.”
The Dairyland Patriot asked Daniels if he stood by his earlier denials but received no response. Democratic candidate Becky Nichols also chose not to comment.
