ESTHER's annual banquet to feature Law Forward co-founder
ESTHER, a Fox Valley organization that is well-known for its work for social justice, is excited to announce its 22nd Annual Banquet on Nov. 21 at the Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah.
The theme of the banquet will be “World on Fire,” because our democracy is in great danger from forces that would destroy it. But there is hope in the darkness. The keynote speaker, Mr. Jeff Mandell, will speak on “Finding Hope in These Dark Days of Democracy.” Mr. Mandell is a co-founder of Law Forward, a not-for-profit legal firm that has defended democracy in Wisconsin for many years.
The banquet is also ESTHER’s biggest fund-raiser for the year, and as a part of that effort, there will be a silent, on-line auction, where attendees will have opportunities to purchase vacation packages as well as art works by local artists. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30. ESTHER expects at least 200 people to attend to share in this celebration of 22 years of working for social justice, and the organization’s members hope that you will join them in this opportunity to share a meal with friends who share your values.
