Don't fall for campaign gimmicks; vote for Crowley, Smith to solve real problems
Glenn Grothman and Tom Tiffany vote in lockstep with the President and their party. Their fingerprints are all over Trump's failings and now, the cuts they support will fall on the states to cover.

A one-time check from Trump may partially fill your tank today, but can it pay your rent for the rest of the year? How much of your insurance premium or childcare will it pay for? Health care, housing, food, and energy costs keep climbing while incomes stay flat. A band-aid applied just before an election doesn't fix that.
Consider what has changed in the past 20 months, when we had:
- A Congress that honored the separation of powers, with greater respect for democratic norms
- A CDC and FEMA we could rely on
- Hope in NIH research
- An IRS and Social Security staffed to answer the phone
- More rural hospitals and fewer data centers
- An open Strait of Hormuz and no war with Iran
- Allies that respected us
- A clean energy policy that sought to protect our environment
- An independent Justice Department that adhered to the rule of law and ethical standards
- A federal government that respected the role of scientific expertise and public health institutions
- A commitment to expanding access to affordable health care and protecting Social Security and Medicare.
- Federal investments in public education, clean energy, infrastructure, and scientific research
- A federal government that worked with all states to protect its citizens
- A more predictable trade environment
The list could go on. These changes matter because they affect not only our pocketbooks, but our communities, our security, our rights, our health, and the opportunities available to our children and grandchildren.
Glenn Grothman and Tom Tiffany vote in lockstep with the President and their party. Their fingerprints are all over the list above and now, the cuts they support will fall on the states to cover. They voted against the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which is paying for projects like the $1billion Blatnik Bridge replacement and billions to Wisconsin for roads and bridges, broadband, clean waterways, and airports.
Brad Smith and David Crowley will do the hard work. They are committed to ensuring the federal government works for the states – not against them. They will fight for family-supporting jobs and wages, multiple paths to good careers, lower health-care costs, and protected coverage in rural areas. They will expand broadband across Wisconsin and invest in clean water and renewable energy. And refreshingly, they believe accountability and ethics matter.
Wisconsin has real problems that will outlast any one-time check. Vote for the candidates who will work to solve them: Brad Smith and David Crowley.
