New fusion restaurant IVR offers many delicious cultural options

One of the Fox Cities newest restaurants is the IVR Restaurant and Bar. It’s located near the intersection of 55 and Hwy KK in the building that previously was the home of SALT.

IVR stands for International Variety Restaurant which speaks to its fusion menu celebrating dishes from Indian, Mexican, Italian, and Chinese cultures. The menu is full of options you're not going to find anywhere else, except for the original IVR Restaurant and Bar on Good Hope Road in Milwaukee.

I went with my server's suggestion, the Tikka Tacos with beef birra on naan and Mexican biryani rice. The food was both delicious and plentiful. The blend of Mexican and Indian flavors worked well. As I expected given the lineage of the cuisine, it was spicy, and came with two salsa type sauces and consomme.

IVR is also known for its variety of craft cocktails. They even have some for the NA crowd. I went with the Pina No Colada which was even better than the real thing. They have a margarita made with NA tequila I need to try next time.

The atmosphere was clean and elegant. The service was quick and helpful.

If you are looking for new inventive menu options, enjoy international cuisines, or simply want to sample some creative craft cocktails I highly recommend checking out IVR.
