APPLETON, WI – On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM, community members are invited to join Appleton Area NOW, Fox Valley Indivisible, and local advocates for a rally at Houdini Plaza. This grassroots event aims to raise awareness about the harmful impacts of the Trump administration’s proposed policies on everyday Wisconsinites.
As part of this rally, we will focus on several significant issues, including:
- Proposed cuts to Medicaid that threaten the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
- Funding cuts to public schools that jeopardize the quality of education for our children.
- The alarming influence of unelected billionaire Elon Musk, who has unprecedented access to personal data and is causing widespread damage through his DOGE cryptocurrency initiatives.
“The decisions being made by the Trump administration and individuals like Elon Musk affect all of us,” said Emily Tseffos, leader of Fox Valley Indivisible. “We’re standing up for our community and sending a strong message that we will not remain silent as crucial services and protections are eroded.”
The rally will feature speakers from both organizations, local leaders, and community members who will share personal stories and insights about how these policies are impacting families and individuals across Wisconsin.
Everyone is encouraged to attend, bring signs, and show their support for a healthier, more equitable future for our state. Together, we can amplify our voices and demand accountability from our leaders.
